Welcome to the Atlas of shellfish production and relaying areas
This atlas presents all the French professional shellfish production and relaying zones as well as their classifications and sanitary status.
The sanitary classifications are established by prefectural classification decrees, proposed by the local authorities (DDTM or DDPP) responsible for monitoring shellfish production areas. They shall be determined on the basis of the results of microbiological analyses carried out on shellfish from the area concerned.
Each area is subject to regular monitoring to verify its quality. This monitoring makes it possible to identify possible contamination of shellfish which may lead to a change in the sanitary status of the area with specific management measures (prohibition or restrictions on harvesting and marketing of shellfish), with the aim of protecting the health of the consumer.

Consultation of sanitary classifications
This cartographic interface makes it possible to visualize each zone of production and relaying of shellfish and to dispose of the sanitary classifications associated with each group of shellfish. The map is printable.

This cartographic interface allows to visualize each zone of production and relaying of shellfish and to have the corresponding statuses (existence or not of measures of harvest and marketing restrictions in connection with a health alert).
