Access to and re-use of information made available on a website of a data provider is governed by the general provisions of law no. 78-753 of 17 July 1978 on various measures to improve relations between the administration and the public and various administrative, social and fiscal provisions, as last amended by order no. 2005-650 of 6 June 2005, implementing decree no. 2005-1755 of 30 December 2005 on freedom of access to administrative documents and the re-use of public information, as well as by chapter IV of title II of book I of the Environment Code (articles L. 124-1 to L. 124-8 and R. 124-1 to R. 124-5).
Commitment of the data-providing body
The data-providing organisation shall ensure that the information made available is lawful. It guarantees that it has the necessary rights to make it available and to allow peaceful use of this information without infringing the rights of third parties. The data made available are updated by their producer as soon as a modification justifies it. The user is invited to refer regularly to the website of the source in order to ensure the validity of the version available. The purpose of this warning and the metadata sheet associated with each batch of information made available is to remind users of the legal and technical constraints attached to it.
Intellectual property
When the producing organisation and/or third parties have intellectual property rights under copyright (Book I, Titles I and II of the Intellectual Property Code) or the right of the producer of databases (Book III, Title IV of the same Code), their holders are mentioned in the metadata sheet.
Use of files and data
Subject to the respect of the intellectual property rights attached to them, mentioned in the metadata, the information made available may be used by any person who wishes to do so for purposes other than those of the public service mission for which it was prepared or is held. The re-use of information presupposes that it is not altered, that its meaning is not distorted and that its sources and the date of its last update are mentioned (e.g.: "Source: ADES portal, data exported in March 2007"). These conditions apply to all the files delivered, i.e. the data files, the metadata and this warning.
Under these conditions, it is possible to present the data and metadata on any medium, including the Internet, as well as any study or analysis resulting from the use of this information.
The user may also change the computer format and adapt the data and metadata to integrate them into his own information system or make them available. He can aggregate the information, add or delete attributes, select a part of the territory, and carry out a geographical generalisation. In this case, he must be careful to respect the quality of the data and not to distort its meaning.

Les utilisateurs sont mis particulièrement en garde contre toute interprétation, utilisation ou présentation des données à une échelle plus grande que celle indiquée dans les métadonnées, par exemple à une échelle cadastrale pour un zonage numérisé à 1:25000. Les informations mises à disposition ne sont pas fournies en vue d’une utilisation particulière, et aucune garantie quant à leur aptitude à un usage particulier n’est apportée par le service fournisseur.
Accordingly, the user shall assess in particular:
- the appropriateness of using the data ;
- the compatibility of the files with his computer systems
- the suitability of the data for his needs;
- whether he has sufficient competence to use the information made available.
The user shall ensure that the information made available is up to date and compatible with each use he makes of it. He/she is invited to inform the service providing the information of any errors or anomalies that he/she may find in this information, this service remaining free to assess the follow-up to be given to this report.

Specific warnings
- The classification presented on this site only concerns areas where professional activity is carried out. Recreational fishing may be carried out in professional production areas classified A or B (outside of farming concessions and without prejudice to the rules specific to the exercise of this activity, particularly in terms of protection of the resource and the coastline). It is prohibited in professional production areas classified as C. Outside classified areas, it is advisable to contact the town hall of the commune or the Regional Health Agency (ARS) concerned.
- The site shows the latest situation known by the operator concerning the classification of the area in question; certain areas may be downgraded or temporarily banned from harvesting and marketing following microbiological, phycotoxic or chemical contamination.
